BidScouter is an independent Chrome extension that enhances the MAC.BID auction platform with cost transparency tools, advanced filters, and automation features. BidScouter is not affiliated with MAC Auction or MAC.BID.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
BidScouter operates entirely within your browser and does not collect, transmit, or store:
- Your MAC.BID account credentials or login information
- Your bidding history, watchlist, or auction activity
- Items you view, bid on, or purchase
- Your browsing history inside or outside of MAC.BID
- Any personally identifiable information
3. Permissions We Request
BidScouter requests the following Chrome permissions, used only for the stated purposes:
- Access to mac.bid — required to inject the BidScouter interface and read listing data displayed on the page
We do not request access to any websites beyond MAC.BID, and we do not read data from other tabs or websites.
4. Third-Party Services
BidScouter does not use advertising networks, analytics platforms, or any third-party data services. No data from your use of the extension is shared with any third party.
5. Cookies
BidScouter does not use cookies of any kind.
6. Children's Privacy
BidScouter is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of BidScouter after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
